Finally! Once you are finished, flip it over on something black and see how it looks. When you've done that, find what you want to spray it on (I suggest test paper) and make sure there are no edges hanging out because they will get sprayed on. Be sure to weight your stencil with other cans or regular weights so that the image is flat.
If you used paper, then you most likely have some parts curling up. Put on some latex gloves and when you spray, press down on the parts so its even. Spray around your hand that way you get the color in and it stays on the glove and not your hand. When spraying, you're supposedly supposed to spray 12-15 inches but that's over doing it. Spray about a hands distance and go from the middle out, or whatever suits you. Some people do it across but I prefer to do it this way. When you're done, let it dry for a minute and lift off carefully.
There you go. You successfully made art! Now, ten bucks and you have one of my Twiggys so in 5 years you can resell it at 50, unless I become a Banksy and it's 20k.
Your tutorials are cool and the stencil turned out awesome, but say you're spraying a wall or something. Would you recomend taping the stencil to the wall? I know there'll be drip, but is there a way of avoiding it? Thanks. I'm new to this whole stencil concept.

On a wall it's a whole different game. I say tape or if you can spray adhesive or yes paste. Dont use Krylon or American General those have water and will drip. Montana is expensive but it's paint. those shouldn't drip. Glad the stencil came out great! Let me know how your wall one turned out and if it still drips I'll figure out something to help you out.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
