6. You will need to block in your image and see what works. I prefer to use a blue pencil, if you want use red china marker or pencil and draw over it. I'm using Twiggy since it's a variety of patterns, movements, and shapes. You dont necessarily have to be accurate since it is blocking but you should use gestures and use your knowledge of light on this.

7. After blocking in your image, look at your reference and start adding in the details. Do it with your line in mind and perfect it. If you're doing the face remember halfway should be the eyes and the face is broken up in 3rds, with the brow on the first third, nose on the 2nd, chin on the last. if you have trouble with the ears, they take up the entire 2nd 3rd, if that makes sense to you.

8. Ink in your lines and start to clean up. Perfect your lines.

9. Not so fast, we're not cutting yet. Did you check for islands and fill it in?

10. Fill in your lines so you will have a visual of what the final product will look like. You have no idea how many times I've forgot to do this and I've screwed up my stencil. Now that we have the stencil, lets learn some cutting tricks.

Great tutorial. This would have been useful a couple mins ago...(just did a stencil that is very unstable)

AHHHHH. Damnit...well at least you know now. Part 3 is up and I put in a lot of tips on how to not let it curl.
